We recently completed our
2nd Whole 30 Paleo Challenge
and the results are in!!!
We have partnered with Whole 9 Nutrition to give our members all the tools needed when eating Paleo for optimal health. When starting the challenge, all members were given a 40 page nutritional guide which included shopping lists, charts, and recipes, along with support websites, & reading recommendations. At the start of the challenge members were weighed in with body fat %, muscle mass, bone mass, & water weight and encouraged not to weigh again until finishing.
Some results thus far:
Dianne: Lost 4 lbs overall / Lost 2.5% Body Fat / Gained 1.5 lbs Muscle(so Total Fat loss = 5.5 lbs)
Helen: Lost 1.5 lbs / Lost 3% Body Fat / Gained 2 lbs Muscle
(Total Fat Loss = 3.5 lbs)
Adam: Lost 6.5 lbs / Lost 2.5% Body Fat
Sean: Lost 10 lbs / Lost 7.5% Body Fat / Gained 6.5 lbs Muscle
(Total Fat Loss = 16.5 lbs!)
Angela: Lost 12 lbs / Lost 4.5% Body Fat / Gained 3.5 lbs Muscle
(Total Fat Loss= 15.5 lbs!)
The most rewarding part of this event was hearing the participants marvel at how they felt differently by eating this way and most of them continuing this change from now on.
We now have a recipe board where we share successful recipes, and are starting a 'Paleo Dinner Club' next month where we'll get together for dinner to share dishes, ideas, and recipes.
